Updated! The new location is so much better than the last. More space, and nicer atmosphere. Better parking too. Still the same amazing food as service as before. The mushroom tibs is the absolute best! Along with the meat and veggie sampler. Such a delicious spot and ideal with some friends too. The imported beer was a tasty way to wash it all down. The sambussies, both meat and veggie are bomb too. Finally, the service is amazing. I love Colucci!

First time being at their new location and it's much improved. The vibe is spot on, the wait staff are nice and the food is delicious as always. So affordable too!

Excellent food. Quality service. Comfortable. This was our first experience with Ethiopian food, and our host was eager to help us out. We are definitely coming back.

Only got a picture of our vegetarian platter because the meat platter disappeared too quickly! But trust me, we had the kitfo and it was great!

All the dishes I usually enjoy at Ethiopian restaurants, plus an amazing spiced vegan chocolate mousse! My new favourite Ethiopian place in the Bay area.

This was my first time at Cafe Colucci and I couldn't have loved it more, this place is a gem. The food was amazing. We got half/half sumbussas, begue tibs, and a hot chocolate and it was all so flavorful. The vibe is really great too. You can tell that a lot of love has gone into this place. It feels good to support a local business that is mission driven and feels like such a cultural hub. Shout out to Daniel for a great evening, we will be coming back!

very fun and happening Ethiopian restaurant. Fragrant smells of fresh spices wafting through the air. it’s a very enjoyable low-key atmosphere. Food is excellent. very busy in the evening almost packed but food came timely.

We've been to several Ethiopian restaurants in the Bay Area, and Cafe Colucci shines high above the rest. Some are meh. Others are adequate, and even a few are delicious. But Cafe Colucci is next level in terms of flavors, creativity, and overall quality. Food is not just delicious, but also refined. The service is excellent, and everyone is friendly without being overbearing. We love dining here, and feel welcomed each and every time. Thank you, Cafe Colucci.

I can't believe I never went here before having lived in the area most of my life!! It's been around since 1991. Great tip, they are open late! Check hours online. Our family of two adults and one hungry teen ordered the vegan combo and the meat combo. It was more than enough food. Everything was super tasty and delicious. We got it with the traditional bread but you can order a wheat version if you prefer. Service was friendly. Waitress didn't bring us plates or napkins. You eat with your hands here so utensils aren't typically provided but we could all use a napkin. Got the plates on request and went looking for napkins myself! If you like cafe lattes theirs are delicious and so was the basil lemonade. This business also is affiliated with a woman owned, Ethiopian owned spice company in Ethiopia! They have a lot of photos and info about the enterprise and you can also buy spices on site. Would definitely recommend!

We ordered the chicken tibs and the veg combo plater. It was a delight! It came with 6 different vegan dishes, salad, and a intriguing chicken dish. The level of heat from the spices was low but tasty, just as we asked for. The sourness of the injera (bread) paired perfectly well with each different lentil or chickpea based dish. We added a 'National' cocktail and it was all good! Hostess and waiter both very sweet and made suggestions. Another guy came by and explained about the food, that was great. One caveat: it's a dicey neighborhood so don't leave anything in your car and keep your wits about you. But it's worth it for the food. Nicely decorated with Ethiopian pix and things. Totally recommend.
